Celebration Events

World Environment Day:

EuroKids students celebrate World Environment Day to enhance their ability to learn about their surroundings and the ways to protect the earth. Children are asked to wear green attire to relate to the importance of the environment. We celebrate the day by raising awareness among our young ones on the importance of a clean, safe, and healthy environment through different documentary videos. To boost their interest in caring for their nature, kids are involved in different project works and activities on the basis of the theme.

Red Day:

We celebrate the Red Day for a wonderful learning experience which helps the children to understand the concept of primary colours. To mark this day, students and teachers are dressed in red attire. School premises are decorated with red objects. Each of the kids gets an opportunity to learn and speak about the red coloured objects. They get indulged in various activities like palm printing with red colour, learning through audio/ visual classes, preparing red coloured fruit salad, etc. Students become eager, curious, and enthusiastic about everything and at the end of the day, it becomes a fun and everlasting experience for all of them.

Yoga Day:

Children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Yoga helps the children to connect more deeply with the inner self and develop an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. Yoga brings that marvelous inner light that all children have to the surface. On this day, kids and teachers wear white t-shirts and tracks, and the children are taught different yoga postures.

Cartoon character day:

Cartoons and their characters are something which has a great impact on kids mind. On this day children disguise themselves as cartoon characters, whom they love the most. Kids enjoy the day with great joy. All Kids are made to do different fun activities related to the theme. They celebrate the day with great enthusiasm.

Teacher’s Day:

A teacher is a guide a mentor, a friend who helps a child to grow wiser and inspire them to give their best. Therefore, to appreciate teacher’s guidance and effort EuroKids celebrates Teacher’s Day where children show their love and appreciation to honor a teacher’s effort. They also prepare a show (dance and song performance) for their teachers.

Professional Day:

This event aims to make the kids know about various professions and their work nature. Kids explore various professions during class hours and get to celebrate it as a professional day. To mark this day, all the kids are dressed in their favorite profession’s costume. Photo booths are prepared to amuse students and they get to experience details about every profession through a role-play and photoshoot. This day creates opportunities for our students to explore information about our community helpers, learn to do specific age-appropriate chores.

Pajama Party:

Children spend a day at Eurokids wearing the most comfortable jammies, being surrounded by their favorite pals for the pajama party. On this day, the area is transformed into the heaven of moons and stars with balloons and bedding to go along with the decorations. On this very day, the children get to learn about bedtime habits. They enjoy listening to a bedtime story, drink a cup of milk, brush their teeth, and enjoys controlled pillow fights and dancing with their pals. Their day will be filled with fun and lastly, they finish their day taking a short nap.

Friendship Day:

Friendship day is a day to cherish the wonderful moments that we spend with our friends. Kids always become happy to be around with their friends. On this day, kids bring friendship bands for their friends and they exchange it with each other wishing happy friendship day. The habit of sharing with friends teaches them of being unselfish and generous for their whole lives.

My Favourite Story Character Day:

Children view the world quite differently than adults do because children bring such a marvelous perspective to events that many of us take for granted. Story Character plays a significant role in a child’s life. Stories help to develop a child’s imagination by introducing new ideas into their world. It’ll encourage the children to realize that they can, and should, imagine anything they want. Character Day is creative! The school host "My Favourite Story Character Day" as a fun-filled day of dressing up kids in their favorite story character. Kids celebrate the day with lots of enthusiasm and they enjoy in their own way, for what better way they will find.

Fathers Day:

"A father is neither an anchor to hold us back nor a sail to take us there, but a guiding light whose love shows us the way.” Every father is a hero for every child. There is always a special bonding between father and child. Hence to mark this special day " Father’s Day" is celebrated. Children prepare special craft and perform a beautiful song for their fathers. They are made to acknowledge the importance of fathers and are encouraged to always respect and love the father.

Rakhi Celebration:

The festival of ‘RakshaBandhan‘ is dedicated to brothers and sisters. It celebrates the bond of affection between them. On this day the kids make beautiful rakhi with the help of their teachers for their brothers and sisters.

Krishna Janmashtami:

Krishna Janmashtami is an annual Hindu festival that is celebrated on the occasion of the birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. On this day the school is decorated with colorful lights, flowers on Krishna swing. The children come to school dressed up as Krishna and Radha with jewelry and flute. The teachers narrate Lord Krishna’s story to the kids and make them dance to religious hymns.

Teej:

Teej is traditionally dedicated to Goddess Parvati, remembering her union with Lord Shiva. It is the fasting festival of women. It usually takes place in the month of Bhadra. It is celebrated by the women and the girls by wearing a red dress, bangles, by singing and dancing, applying Mehendi on their hands. In school, we celebrate Teej by wearing red attire on that day and we sing, dance to enjoy the day.

Children’s day:

Children’s day is celebrated in order to show our love and affection towards the children. It is a special day for children. On this day, EuroKids hosts different programs like a magic show, juggling, etc. Teachers also perform various kinds of performances on this day.

Peace Day:

On the International Day of Peace, also known as Peace Day, people around the world take part in various activities and organize events centered on the theme "Peace.” Likewise, we also celebrate Peace Day in September in which children are taught about co-operating with each other and maintaining a peaceful environment for a happy life. The whole EuroKids family celebrates this day wearing a white dress. Children make crafts that symbolize peace. In the end, all kids gather on the ground and release white and blue balloons in the sky wishing for worldwide peace.

Dashain:

Dashain is the festival that is celebrated with great rejoice, and the goddess Durga is worshiped as the divine mother goddess. It brings happiness and unity amongst the people. Dashain also symbolizes the victory of "Good over Bad." In preparation for Dashain, we perform the drama for the kids. We explain to kids about the significance of celebrating Dashain.

Tihar:

Tihar is also known as Deepawali, a five-day-long Hindu festival, celebrated primarily in Nepal and India. Tihar, which is also known as the festival of lights is the second biggest festival of the Hindu religion. We celebrate Tihar with a colorful decoration of crafts and rangoli. All kids come wearing their traditional attires and they sing a traditional song Deusi-Bhailo together with their teachers.

Unity in Diversity :

Nepal is a multi-lingual, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-religious nation that defines unity in diversity among the people in the country. Unity in diversity is a concept which signifies the uniformity among the people belonging to the different culture and traditions. We all belong to a different culture but we all are bound together with a string of humanity, love, and respect. Unity in diversity teaches us the feeling of being together though we belong to different communities, cultures, and traditions. Unity in Diversity has been the main event for the Euro Juniors. On this day, all the kids dress up in their cultural attire and represent their culture. They perform on cultural songs. Every year unity in diversity is celebrated in our school with great enthusiasm.

Puppet Show:

Puppets are both entertaining and captivating. Children can believe and relate to them, they can enter and explore the fascinating inventive world that puppet creates. Through the puppet show, the teacher teaches children multiple lessons like sharing, helping each other, playing together, etc. The teachers put up a mesmerizing puppet show, which will be the joyful learning for our little ones. The teacher engrosses the students with their voice modulation and use of puppets. This day, the whole school comes out together and enjoys the show and interactive session related to the story. Their day ends with imagination and laughter.

Poem Recitation:

Poetry and rhymes help to enhance memorization skills and enable the children to recite the poem with proper rhythm and intonation. It helps to develop children’s power of imagination and learn a new language as well. EuroKids organizes the “Poem Recitation Competition” for Euro Senior every year where parents are invited to increase the children’s confidence.

Grandparent’s Day:

We celebrate Grandparent’s Day to honor and take an extra moment to appreciate all the joy and wisdom that our grandparents bring to our lives. We celebrate this day with a special assembly and activities. Grandparents are invited to our school, and the children get ready with a great stage performance like dance, song, games, and poems. The program starts with a welcome speech by our Principal followed by the performance prepared by our little gems. Grandparents cheer for their kids wholeheartedly and excitedly and also participates in all the games. The fond affection for their grandchildren reflects in the very fact that they hold the hands of their respective grandchild while performing some of the activities. The whole day is filled with great enthusiasm and entertainment for all the grandparents, students, teachers, and staff.

Health Is Wealth Day:

Health is Wealth proverb that states Health is the most important asset. EuroKids organizes “ Health Is Wealth Day” as it has been proven to enhance mental and physical development, as well as social skills and even improvements in academic performance. On this day, kids participate in various sports activities. Their efforts are appreciated with a medal and certificate. We also encourage parents to take part in some interesting games and also appreciate their efforts too.

Junior Master Chef :

The junior master chef is a concept where our little masters can display their cooking skills in various ways. It is the platform where they get to explore themselves in cooking and where they can express their feelings.

Picasso Week :

Painting is all about fun, creativity, and exploring colors. It is the source through which we can bring our imagination into reality. Painting helps out in bringing children’s emotions where they can express how they are feeling in their own special way. Every year EuroKids celebrates Picasso week where children enjoy and explore with colors with certain different themes.

Fruit Custard Day:

The Fruit custard celebration is a fun-filled day at Eurokids. The occasion is used to teach the students the health benefits of the fruit. Kids bring various fruits and the child and teacher together mix all the fruits with delicious ingredients like custard, condensed milk, and cream to make a scrumptious and delectable fruit custard. They are dressed in coloured clothes with a fruit shaped headband and music and dancing; the children have a party in school like no other – devoid of the junk food of any kind!

Isaac Newton:

Experiments help the kids understand that they can use the scientific process to learn more about the world around them. The objective of “Isaac Newton Week” is to engage children in the wondrous, wild, and wacky world of science. In general Isaac Newton Week promotes the theme of Exploration and Discovery to encourage children to think about everyday discoveries and how they affect their lives. In EuroKids, live experiments are done to make the kids learn through inquiry and make their own discoveries. It helps children to generate ideas, make decisions, and use evidence to understand the key concepts.
